LANCASTER, Pa. -- Centennial Conference weekly awards have been announced for the week of March 9-15 in baseball, softball, lacrosse and tennis.
Leor Kedar of Swarthmore baseball earned repeat weekly honors after another superb week at the plate, while Piper Evans of Washington College women's lacrosse and Michael Melnikov of Swarthmore men's tennis also garnered weekly accolades for the second time this season.

BASEBALL
Player of the Week
Leor Kedar, So., OF, Swarthmore

Kedar repeated as Player of the Week after continuing his torrid March, batting .750 (15-20) with a massive 2.442 OPS over four games, all wins for the Garnet. He totaled four doubles, one triple, four homers, three walks, four stolen bases, 12 RBIs, and 12 runs. He tallied at least one extra-base hit and scored at least once in all four contests. Kedar went 4-for-5 with two doubles, two stolen bases, five RBIs, and two runs in a 12-7 victory over Mitchell, giving Swarthmore the lead for good with a two-run double that broke a 4-4 tie in the sixth. The sophomore went 6-for-9 with two doubles, one triple, two walks, one stolen base, two RBIs, and five runs in a pair of wins versus Marietta. He went 5-for-5 in the second game, finishing just a homer short of the cycle. Kedar achieved the homer and then some the following day in a win versus SUNY Cobleskill, blasting a Centennial-record four home runs and hitting 5-for-6 with five RBIs and five runs in the contest.
Pitcher of the Week

Bergen made two appearances in relief on the week, throwing six shutout innings. He allowed just one hit and walked one while striking out seven in those two appearances. He picked up the win in relief against Monmouth on Thursday. Opponents hit just .053 off him on the week.

SOFTBALL
Player of the Week
Sofia Gallahue, Fr., OF, Muhlenberg
Bel Air, Md. | Bel Air
Gallahue hit .571 with a double, triple, and five RBIs to help Muhlenberg to a 6-0 week that included two wins against teams that have been nationally ranked this season. She had a .714 slugging percentage and .591 on-base percentage while stealing three bases. In the sixth inning against 24th-ranked Randolph-Macon, Gallahue broke a scoreless tie with an RBI double, then scored the second run in a 2-0 Mule victory. She also had an RBI single in a four-run sixth inning that was the key to Muhlenberg's 6-5 win at Salisbury. Gallahue hit safely in all six games during the week, including three-hit games against Arcadia and Juniata.
Pitcher of the Week
Kaleigh Bodak, Jr., LHP, Haverford
Killingworth, Conn. | Haddam Killingworth
Bodak went 2-0 with one save across three appearances to help guide the Fords to an undefeated showing at The Spring Games in Clermont, Fla. The sophomore pitched 15.1 innings while posting a 0.46 ERA with 13 strikeouts. Bodak allowed just one earned run on 10 hits during the week, consistently keeping opposing offenses in check. Bodak opened the week with a three-inning outing against Pitt.-Greensburg, allowing just two hits and striking out two while earning the save. She followed that performance with a stellar complete-game effort against Wesleyan (Conn.), scattering three hits across seven scoreless innings while striking out seven to secure the shutout victory. She closed the week with another strong outing against Blackburn, tossing 5.1 innings while allowing just one earned run and striking out four to pick up her second win of the week. Bodak’s steady presence in the circle played a key role in helping the Scarlet and Black surge to a historic 9–1 start to the 2026 season.

MEN'S LACROSSE
Offensive Player of the Week
Chase Kusko, Jr., A, Muhlenberg

Kusko set a school record with 11 points on three goals and eight assists in the Mules' 18-8 win at Southwestern, breaking the previous mark of nine points in a game, set in 2020 and tied in 2022. The eight assists tied the school record set by Kusko last year against McDaniel. He was involved in 11 of Muhlenberg's first 15 goals and assisted on five of the goals in a 6-0 run that turned a small 7-4 lead into a commanding 13-4 advantage. The 11 points moved Kusko into third place on the Mules' all-time scoring list with 142 career points. He is responsible for four of the five times in program history that a player has recorded at least six assists in a game.
Defensive Player of the Week
Rocco Bognet, Jr., GK, Dickinson
Timonium, Md. | Loyola-Blakefield
Bognet backstopped the 10th-ranked Red Devils to a pair of victories at the annual Callum Robinson Mustang Classic hosted by Stevenson. On Friday he recorded seven stops and a ground ball as the Red and White knocked off 14th-ranked Saint Lawrence 19-6. Then, less than 24-hours later against Denison he limited the Big Red to just five goals, while putting up 10 saves in the hard fought 8-5 win. Bognet registered a stellar 5.54 goals against average and 60.7% save percentage in just under 120 minutes of action for the week.

Evans scored eight goals and added five assists for 13 points in two games in Florida this past week, including tallying her 100th career point in the win over Bridgewater St. on Thursday. In Wednesday's 20-11 win over Merchant Marine Academy, the senior led all players with five goals and tied for game-high in points with seven. In Thursday's 19-4 victory against Bridgewater St., the senior netted three goals and three assists, which tied for game-high, for six points to go along with two ground balls. Evans recorded her 100th point, becoming the 39th player in program history to do so, assisting on a Malery Andrews goal that gave Washington a 5-2 lead with 12:26 to go in the second quarter.

Whiteside had a strong week for the Red Devils as they posted two wins during their spring break trip to Puerto Rico. Against Ohio Wesleyan she won a pair of draw controls and forced one giveaway, while tallying two goals in a 16-4 win. Two days later versus Saint Joseph's (Me.) she collected three draws, caused two turnovers, picked up a pair of ground balls and tacked on a goal as the Devils bested the Monks 14-3.

Player of the Week
Michael Melnikov, Sr., Swarthmore

Melnikov went 5-1 over three matches against nationally-ranked opponents for the Garnet, going a perfect 3-0 in singles action. He lost at first doubles but bounced back for a 6-3, 6-2 victory at first singles versus No. 14 Trinity (Texas). Melnikov and partner Utham Koduri earned a 7-5 triumph in doubles and Melnikov had another straight-sets win, 7-5, 6-3, against No. 15 WashU. The senior won both of his matches versus No. 3 Case Western Reserve to close the week. He teamed with Koduri for a 6-2 win in doubles and grabbed the decision in singles, 6-3, 6-2. Melnikov has won nine straight singles bouts and is a perfect 8-0 in dual matches this year.

Player of the Week
Sophie Fenster, Sr., Bryn Mawr
Riviera Beach, Fla. | Oxbridge Academy
Fenster posted a combined singles and doubles record of 9-1 as the Owls went 3-2 as a team on their spring break trip in Orlando, Florida. She posted a perfect 5–0 record in doubles while playing at the No. 2 and No. 3 positions. In singles, Fenster went 4-1 from the No. 1 spot, including three straight-set victories and securing the match-clinching point in a 4-3 win over Piedmont.
