LANCASTER, Pa. -- Centennial Conference weekly awards have been announced for the week of Feb. 9-15 in basketball, indoor track & field, lacrosse and tennis. This marks the first weekly awards of the year for lacrosse and tennis.
A number of superb track & field performances lead this week's awards, headlined by Franklyn Akabi-During of Dickinson men's track & field setting three new conference records and Noah Sanders of Ursinus men's track & field breaking the CC weight throw mark for the second week in a row.

MEN'S BASKETBALL
Player of the Week
Ashenafi Stuart, So., G, McDaniel

Stuart averaged 20.0 points, 4.5 rebounds, 1.5 assists, and 1.0 steals as McDaniel extended its win streak to four games with wins over Johns Hopkins and Dickinson last week. The last time the Green Terror won four consecutive conference games was during the 2015-16 season. Stuart scored a career-high 27 points on 11-of-15 shooting to lead McDaniel to its first win over Johns Hopkins since Feb. 10, 2016, snapping a 17-game losing streak. He then hit a half-court buzzer beater to complete an 18-point comeback win over Dickinson to move the Green Terror into sole possession of sixth place in the Centennial Conference standings, half a game over Muhlenberg for the final playoff spot. He finished with 13 points and six rebounds against the Mules. For the week, Stuart shot 60% from the floor (15-for-25) and 50% from three-point range (5-for-10).

Rapel led the Bullets to a 2-0 week and into the No. 2 seed in the upcoming conference tournament, averaging 18.5 points, 3.0 rebounds and 2.0 assists over the two games. On Wednesday, she netted her second career 20-point game in a 69-60 win at Dickinson. She added three rebounds, two assists and a steal to her 20 points. In an 89-59 home win over Haverford on Saturday, she tallied 17 points in just 20 minutes, shooting 7 of 10 from the floor with three rebounds, two assists, a steal and a blocked shot. She shot 60% for the week and went 4-for-4 from the stripe.

Franklyn Akabi-During, So., Dickinson

Akabi-During broke a trio of Centennial Conference and school records at the Widener Indoor Classic on Saturday. He started in the 60-meter dash, where he broke Centennial and Dickinson records with a time of 6.75 seconds, recording a second-place finish. That time ranks tied for sixth in Division III this season and bested his own previous record of 6.84 that was set on March 1 of 2025. In the 200 meters, Akabi-during ran a 21.44 to take first place and set another new Centennial and school standard. That time ranks 12th in the nation this winter. The sophomore concluded his day with a record-setting performance in the 4x400 relay, teaming with Trevor Richwine, Matthew Gareau and Darian Crim to post a Centennial and Dickinson record time of 3:17.12. That time broke the previous CC record set by Ursinus in 2023 by just a hundredth of a second (0.01). Akabi-During was the lead-off runner for the race with splits of 24.208 and 25.896.
Field Athlete of the Week
Noah Sanders, So., Ursinus

Sanders repeated as Field Athlete of the Week after another record-setting performance in the weight throw. A week after tying the Centennial Conference and Ursinus school records in the weight throw, Sanders delivered a throw of 18.02 to finish fifth (first among Division III competitors) and set new conference and school standards. His mark broke the previous record of 18.00 that was held by him and former Ursinus standout Isaiah Battle. The throw ranks 21st in the nation this season.

The Distance Medley Relay quartet of Emma Kothari, Lianne Saussy, Ani Wedemeyer and Mackenzie Setton delivered the highlight performance of the weekend at the Tufts Cupid Challenge. The Blue Jays crossed first in 11:48.90, which ranks as the fastest in Division III this season, the third-fastest in school history and the 21st-fastest performance in Division III history.
Field Athlete of the Week

Williams repeated as Field Athlete of the Week after posting the second-best weight throw mark in Centennial history for the second straight week. Competing at the Widener Indoor Classic, Williams placed third in the weight throw with a personal-best 17.49 meters, which ranks ninth nationally this year and second in Centennial and JHU program history. She followed that performance with a ninth-place finish in the shot put with a throw of 12.04 meters.

Reigning Centennial Conference Defensive Player of the Year Teddy Scarborough stopped 16 of the 23 shots on goal that he faced during the Diplomats' 17-7 win at Lebanon Valley to start the 2026 season. Scarborough finished with a 69.6% save percentage while also collecting two ground balls.

WOMEN'S LACROSSE
Offensive Player of the Week

Medfield, Mass. | Medfield
Proefrock scored the final two goals of the Diplomats' season-opening 7-6 victory at No. 9 Washington and Lee on Sunday. The sixth-ranked Diplomats never led until Proefrock's two goals. Trailing 6-5 late in the fourth quarter, Proefrock scored with just under six minutes remaining and just under four minutes remaining to give F&M the one-goal victory.

Cerow picked up a team-high five draw controls while adding three caused turnovers and tracking down two ground balls in the Red Devils' 18-5 season opening home win over non-conference foe Lebanon Valley.

Arboleda notched an impressive season debut, helping the Fords pick up a dominant 7-0 victory over UC Santa Cruz. Arboleda teamed up with Teo Bortan at second doubles to pick up a 6-4 victory before securing a 6-4, 6-4 victory over Benjamin Wang in first singles.

Arbelaez won two singles matches and a doubles match for three wins over the weekend. In Saturday's 4-3 win over Catholic, she topped Ella Knox in singles at No. 3, 6-2, 6-2, and in doubles teamed up with Sofia Sperandei to get the better of the Cardinals' tandem of Mairead O'Hara and Ava Niggemeier, 6-2. On Sunday versus Stevens, the freshman topped Stephanie Untemeyer at No. 2 singles, 6-1, 6-1.
