The 2025 Centennial Conference women's golf championship will tee off on Saturday at Waynesboro Country Club in Waynesboro, Pa. This will mark the second straight year that the championship will take place at Waynesboro CC. The 36-hole event is set for Saturday-Sunday with tee times starting at 12:36 p.m. on Saturday and 9:36 a.m. on Sunday.
Marymount is the defending champion after earning its third CC title with a total of 656 strokes last spring, defeating second-place Gettysburg by 15 strokes. The Saints have won three of the past four CC crowns, with Gettysburg claiming the other recent title back in 2023.
Gettysburg leads the all-time Centennial title count with 11, followed by McDaniel (7), Marymount (3) and Muhlenberg (2).
Five All-Centennial golfers are back in the field vying for more hardware this weekend. Marymount's Kate Parsons is the lone two-time all-star in the field, while teammate Noelle Jensen was the CC Player of the Year and Rookie of the Year back in 2023. Parsons, a junior, has tied for second place in both of her CC championships. Jensen narrowly missed out on all-star honors last spring with a sixth-place finish,
Gettysburg's Lucy Barton and Chloe Barton finished in a three-way tied for second-place with Parsons last season. Lucy Barton was also voted Rookie of the Year following the championship. Gettysburg's Ava Nicole Markunas will also aim to return to All-Centennial status after securing the honor as a freshman in 2023.
Marymount and Gettysburg enter the weekend as ther favorites to contend for the CC crown. The defending-champion Saints own the lowest scoring average at 323.4 through 15 rounds during the 2024-25 season. The Saints have won four of their nine events, finished second in four events and third in the other. Individually, Jensen has the lowest scoring average in the CC at 78.1 and has won three individual titles. Karry Lyu has the CC's third-best scoring average at 80.6 through 10 rounds, while Parsons (82.1), Eunice Chang (83.6) and Tinleigh Rusher (83.8) all average low-80s scores.
Gettysburg has a team scoring average of 338.1 through 17 rounds. Chloe Barton has the lowest average for the Bullets at 80.88, which ranks fourth in the CC, with Lucy Barton (82.0) and Markunas (83.3) close behind.
F&M's Shuyi Sarah Wang has won five individual tournaments this season and ranks second in the conference with a 78.9 scoring average through nine rounds. Wang and the Diplomats hold a team scoring average of 358.6 entering the championship.
This weekend's team champion will earn the Centennial Conference's automatic bid to the NCAA Championships, set for May 13-16 atKingsmill Resort in Williamsburg, Va.
