Marymount Holds Slight Lead Over Gettysburg Through Opening Round

WAYNESBORO, Pa. -- Marymount holds a three-shot lead over Gettysburg through 18 holes of the 2025 Centennial Conference Women's Golf Championship at Waynesboro Country Club. 

The Saints and the Bullets separately themselves from the rest of the field with strong day-one performances. Marymount carded a team total of 332 while Gettysburg finished round one at 335. F&M is in third at 371 followed by McDaniel (401), Dickinson (426) and Ursinus (448). 

Gettysburg's Lucy Barton is the individual leader through round one with the lone sub-80 score of the day. The sophomore carded a six-over 78 to take a two-shot lead into Sunday's final round. 

The Saints hold three of the top four placings, led by Kate Parsons in second place with an 80. Eunice Chang is in third with an 83 followed by Tinleigh Rusher with an 84. Gettysburg's Anne Harrower and Chloe Barton are tied for fifth after carding match 85's on day one. 

The final round tees off Sunday at 9:36 a.m.
